They gave me so much life today. Just what I need to see. Black Girl Magic playing the violin in the park and killing them strings!! I’m so proud. I went up to them and just said “Y'all…BLACK GIRL MAGIC!” To which they all simultaneously replied, “YASSS!” Before picking up their instruments and slaying everything again!

Why does seeing black ppl do stuff like this make you so proud? Like we are incapable playing a violin. Stop making it a scene when you see black ppl doing normal shit. I guess maybe we feel like we have to expose to the world every incidence of black talent. WHAT ARE WE TRYING TO PROVE?
They are breaking the Black girl stereotype that we aren’t good at anything except being angry all the time and having multiple children and not taking care of them. Anything that breaks the “stereotypical black girl” mold society has put us into, I will exploit, cheer on and make a big deal out of. If you don’t like it you can exit this post.
